Stuart Croft was an innovative artist whose moving-image practice involved the language of genre cinema, appropriation and circular narratives. The Foundation’s mission is to make accessible the legacy and archive of artist-filmmaker Stuart Croft, to exhibit his moving-image works, and to provide grants for new moving-image productions, research, publications and exhibitions.

Coming soon! This Autumn sees the launch of a major exhibition of Stuart Croft's works at Leeds Art Gallery alongside a special spotlight programme on Croft at the 38th Leeds International Film Festival.

Stuart Croft

Originally trained as an artist, Croft made an extraordinary body of films over a 17 year period. He was also a well-respected educator, having founded the Moving Image Studio at the Royal College of Art, London.
